Spring has Sprung (just about)!

It is almost spring here in Toronto and we just could not be more excited for the change in season, sunshine and new beginnings.

One of the best ways to prepare the body for spring is to shed that dry winter skin and bring on the radiant, glowing skin of warm weather.

The skin is one of the most important pathways of detoxification and allows the body to release all sorts of toxins that we do not want accumulating inside.   The spring is a wonderful opportunity to let go of what we no longer need to hold onto (i.e.- all the excess nutrients and fats that we store during the winter).  Skin brushing stimulates the lymphatic system, supporting the immune system, as well as increases circulation throughout the body.

Want to know how to make your own nourishing body scrub?

You will need: 1 cup brown sugar ½ cup melted coconut oil or almond oil ¼ cup rose water 1 tsp vanilla

Mix together! Store in a jar! Scrub up in the shower or bath.
