Sweet Snacks when you Can't Eat Sweets

We love sweets!  We also know that sometimes our bodies are a little bit out of balance and eating too many sweets can contribute to all sorts of things like yeast infections, skin rashes, hormonal imbalance, and drops in energy.  But, sweets are so important for nourishing our soul and creating enjoyment, pleasure, and love!  Anyway, what is the point of life, without tasty things?


Sooo, for those cases when you do want to eat something sweet, but are being conscious of how much sugar you are consuming, here is a recipe for you.


Carob Chip & Nut Butter Apples

Ingredients: 1/4 cup carob chips 2 Tbsp almond butter, pumpkin seeds butter, or hazlenut butter 1 apple, sliced into thin pieces (whatever variety you like) cinnamon (optional)


Directions: 1. Slice the apple. 2. Spread your choice of nut butter on the apple slices. 3. Place carob chips on top.  You can sprinkle with cinnamon if desired!
