What do I eat for a raw breakfast?

The Vitamix has officially become my best friend...for the month of July.  And probably long into the future too.  I think we have started a great partnership.


Making a breakfast in the Vitamix (or any awesome, high quality blender that is similar) is easy, fast and delicious.


Green Apple, Cucumber, Celery, Kale, Coconut Smoothie

1/2 cup kale, chopped 1/4 cup cucumber, chopped 1/2 stalk celery, chopped 1/2 green apple 1/2 inch piece ginger root 1-2 cups coconut water (you can also do 1/2 coconut water, 1/2 regular water)


optional: 2 Tbsp hemp seeds or 2 Tbsp almond butter (for some extra protein)


Directions: Place it all in the blender and blend away until creamy and smooth.  Yum!
